xsz is basically the granule size. what is “sz=0xfe0″ meant for?? I am really curious to know this..

A few years ago we had the same problem you mention, we were getting ORA-4031 errors although some sub-heaps had ample free memory. We reduced _kghdsidx_count to get fewer sub-heaps.
